Valencia airports are
each about 1
hours
drive from the
villa.
The
Costa Blanca is famous for its miles of beaches.
The EU has awarded the region more Blue Flags for clean and safe bathing
than any other on the continent.
The closest beaches to Villa Rosa, at Las Marinas, on the way to Denia
are sandy with gently shelving shallow water. In the summer this stretch
of beach is backed by numerous bars and restaurants as well as play
areas for the children. Showers and toilet facilities are also
available. However, solitude is guaranteed just 10 minutes north.
Golf is
also a big attraction and the world renowned courses of La Sella and
Oliva Nova are within 10 minutes drive. In all there are over 20 courses
within an hours drive from the villa.
Beyond
the beaches of the Costa Blanca and nestling amongst the mountains, the
Jalon Valley is the main wine-growing area. The bodegas in the Jalon are
open from Monday to Saturday where guided tours can be arranged and wine
can be purchased from the barrel.

Castle Fortress and reservoir.

Denia is
an attractive castle town set in an area once described by the World
Health Organisation as "one of the healthiest living environments in the
world". The town has a wealth of good quality shops, bars and
restaurants offering a wide range of international and Spanish cuisine.
There are regular local fiestas when the town bursts into a riot of
music, fireworks and spectacular street parades. There's the busy
seafront, with its many bars and nightlife, and the bustling fishing and
ferry port, where you can catch a boat to any of the Balearic Islands.
The town is backed by the Montgo mountain to to west.
Calpe,
with its spectacular Penon D'Ifach, has a golden, sandy beach each side
of this craggy rock and another in its fishing port area. The fish
restaurants serve the daily catch and should not be missed.
Arenal
Beach in Javea, is flanked by the Cabos de San Antonio and La Nao and is
known as the 'Dawn of Spain'. It is here that the rising sun reaches the
country first. With its tiny streets and gothic architecture, it is well
worth a visit.
Benidorm. love it or hate it, you can't ignore it, has an excellent
selection of shops, the water park of
Aqualandia
and the theme park of
Terra Mitica.
Not forgetting the Benidorm
Palace which has the largest stage in Europe
and the best cabaret dancers perform here. Its jubilee show has
illusionists, acrobats and a spectacular laser show plus a 4 course meal
with wine and champagne for around £30. International acts like the
Rolling Stones and Elton John have included Benidorm in their recent
